Hawk’s Cay Resort and Marina at Duck Key
61 Hawks Cay Boulevard, Duck Key, FL 33050
www.hawkscay.com
When we visited Hawk’s Cay Resort in 2006 we chose to fly into Miami, rent a car and drive the two hours to the resort. Even though the resort seemed a bit aged we had a great time. Since then the premises have undergone a major $35 million renovation.
Located on its own 60-acre island in the Middle Keys, this resort has a relaxed and casual atmosphere. The kids still remember the unique opportunity they had to ...

A cheap Disney vacation for a family of five is not easy. We chose to go on a Disney cruise with our family of five because we felt it was safe, great for the kids, and it would be an unforgetable trip – and it was.
Many cruiselines claim they are kid-friendly, but I have to say that Disney goes all the way. I had no worries on board the ship with my family. The 10 and 12 year olds walked throughout the ship on their own (no more than 1 ...

The summer has kicked into high gear. The temperatures are rising and resorts are offering rates dramatically cheaper than previous seasons. The traditional resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico are certainly becoming a great buy for big families.
Club Med
Club Med has become a great all-inclusive family vacation with resorts around the world. They cater to families with children as young as 2-3 (Petit Club Med) throught to teens (Club Med passworld). Nothing is imposed, “with freedom through exclusivity” they call it.
This summer they are offering the family WOW vacations, ...

I had recently learned that renting timeshare units can be a better experience than a hotel room in comfort and price.

I love Disney and with 3 kids it gets hard to manage hotel bookings even here. We’ve been at least 8 times to Disney World over the past 14 years and living in Atlanta makes it a relatively easy drive to Orlando. The first time we stayed off-property at a moderate chain hotel with shuttles to the park. That was the first and last time for that. Since then we only stay on property and began with the value resorts (The All Stars.) That was when we had one and then ...
