I’ve mentioned the National Park System before. It is without a doubt the best adventurous family vacation one can have.  National Parks Traveler has named 10 rivers to ride in the national parks. According to Kurt Repanshek, “… the most iconic river in all the land is the Colorado that flows through Grand Canyon National Park. But that doesn’t mean you can’t find quality river trips elsewhere in the National Park System.”

It wasn’t too long ago that I took my family on a small first time RV trip. Granted it was from Atlanta, GA to New York City, but it was a good first step in the right direction — especially for a family of five that mainly likes to stay in resorts and hotels. It was an experience that we want to do again one summer. Except this time we’ll go west from Georgia to as far as we can go and back in two weeks.
