New York Time’s Profiles 10 of their Ski Guide 2010 Resort Areas

Last week, the NY Times published a guide to affordable skiing areas throught the country. It highlights 10 North American ski resorts this winter. Special deals, cheap flights and other information are mentioned in the article
Locations include Alta, Aspen, Jason Hole, Jay Peak, Revelstoke, South Lake Tahoe, Sunday River, Whistler, Winter Park and Wolf Creek.

Parent Magazine’s Top 10 Best Snow Resorts for Families including All-Inclusives

State tourism boards were asked by Parent Magazine to nominate snow resorts that offer family-friendly and affordable inns, lodges, and resorts. The resorts were evaluated with regard to the family activities on site and nearby the ski areas, the quality of ski lessons for young children, the standard room size and amenities, the kids’ club or supervised play area and special holiday events.
The resort had to cost less than $250 per night for accommodations for two adults and two small children or $400 for a daily all-inclusive package.

Grand Summit Hotel at Mount Snow Resort, West Dover, VT
Travel and Leisure magazine lists the Kids’ Program at Grand Summit Hotel as one of the best. According to the magazine, “Since the hotel is owned by the ski resort, all manner of ski school programs are conveniently intertwined with a winter vacation.”
